To validate your insurance contract, we have to register your personal details, such as your date of birth and address. These need to be provided by your educational institution or yourself. Upon request, we will provide you with an overview of which personal details are registered in our system.
These details will be used if we need to contact you about payment of premium or declaration of claims. Any correspondence between Aon and its clients is based on our administrative records in which all your necessary data is registered.
We grant certain third parties like health care providers and assistance companies access to your file provided that the institution can prove you are their patient or client. The health care provider or assistance company may want to send their invoices directly to Aon, which is the main reason for them to check if you have a valid insurance with us.
Finally, we also share your information with the insurers who carry the risk of the Aon Student Insurance. Given the fact that these insurers reimburse your claims and collect your premium, they need access to your personal file to fulfill their responsibilities.
